Frøydis Fegran Kopperud is a Norwegian mezzo-soprano from Trondheim, currently based in Oslo. She has a master’s degree in classical singing from The Norwegian Academy of Music which she took with professors Randi Stene, Mona Julsrud and Ann-Helen Moen.
In recent years she has performed as a soloist both in Norway and abroad, including Händel’s Messiah with Hamar Cathedral Choir, Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 with Ponte Singers & Orchestra in Hong Kong and Bach’s St. John Passion with Nidaros Cathedral Oratorio Choir and Oslo415. She has appeared in festivals such as Nordsjø kammermusikkfestival, Ultimafestivalen and Oslo Early.
In addition, she is a sought-after ensemble singer. She is a permanent member of The Norwegian Soloist Choir, Margaretakyrkans Vokalensemble, Barokkanernes vokalensemble and Frolic Quintet and regularly performs with ensembles such as Vox Nidarosiensis, Bragernes Solistensemble, JSB-ensemble.
